Mikey Hughes, a hit on the TV reality show 16 years ago, was left dazed on the track at Hyndland station in Glasgow before two heroes came to the rescue. He said: 'It was a miracle I was not killed.'

Blind Big Brother star Mikey Hughes has told how members of the public "probably saved my life" after he fell on to a railway track shortly before a train was due to arrive.

Mikey, who uses a white stick and is registered blind, had been travelling to Partick station on Monday but got off at the wrong station. After getting off the train, he tried to feel for a wall at the back of the platform with his stick.READ MORE: Final moments of Glasgow Prestwick Airport flight that left two seriously injured

He said: "I was on my way to Partick to cash in a bet after the first Big Brother eviction. I'd staked fifty on Ryan to go and was due to pick up £75 so was feeling pretty good. The Tannoy said something about approaching the station and I thought we had arrived at Partick and got off. "Luckily, two passenger's rushed over and helped me to get myself up before the next train came. It was a miracle I was not killed."
