Hero, zeros and full blitz from the Giants’ 31-28 victory over the Cardinals on Sunday afternoon.
Giants quarterback Daniel Jones refused to let his team lose. He completed 26 of 37 passes for 321 yards with two touchdowns and one interception after a miserable start and added 59 yards and a touchdown rushing on nine carries. It was Jones who was the engineer to the 24-point comeback.Cardinals head coach Jonathan Gannon stood helplessly as his team blew a 21-point lead in the second half. He was outcoached by the Giants’ Brian Daboll.
The Giants’ offense cruised against Jonathan Gannon’s defense in the second half of Sunday’s victory.Saquon Barkley’s numbers weren’t huge, rushing for 63 yards on 17 carries and catching six passes for 29 yards. But, like Jones, Barkley was the heart of the comeback, scoring on a 1-yard run and then he cut the Arizona lead to 28-21 on a dynamic dive to the pilon after catching a Jones pass on third-and-goal from the 9-yard line.
