'If that is true,' Sparks says, 'it would represent the first failure on the part of the Israeli military for some time, because what they have had over the last couple of months is a stunning series of successes.'But how much the assassinations of Hezbollah's leadership affects the group, Sparks adds, is up for debate.'Are these assassinations more likely to make Hezbollah back down, to stand down, to essentially do what Israel wants? I'm not sure about that.
