Hearts boss Steven Naismith rued just over a minute of 'madness' that cost his side bragging rights in the capital.
Nick Montgomery hailed derby hero Elie Youan as Champions League class – after inspiring the Hibs attacker with a half-time blast.
“We need that from him for 90 minutes and not just 45. If the game was only 45 minutes he would be playing in the Champions League. That is something Elie has to face. He is a young player with bags of ability and that is normal. Montgomery said: “People talk about the emotion of the derby all week and I thought they probably handled that a little bit better than us the start of the game. But at the start of the second half we settled down and cause them a lot of problems. To go away with a point is a good reflection of the game. It was a game of two halves.”
