Organisers say economic factors and increasing costs mean the festival simply cannot continue in its previous form
A major musical festival which attracted performers such Sophie Ellis Bextor, Busted, Sam Ryder and Rag 'n' Bone Man will not be returning to Lancashire next year, it has been announced.
The statement from Highest Point said: "We’d like to share some important news: Highest Point will be taking a break in 2025. "Highest Point has always been organised by a dedicated, small team from the local community. Unlike some larger music festivals, we do not have the backing of major booking power or receive funding based on self-reported figures.
A third penned: "So proud of what you've achieved and brought to Lancaster. The sun always shone for you. Looking forward to more from HP."
