Bay Area high school football: Hillsdale beats Sacred Heart Prep to stay unbeaten
SAN MATEO — The Hillsdale Fighting Knights remain undefeated after a complete win over No. 18 ranked Sacred Heart Prep on Friday night at Hillsdale.
Sacred Heart got an early jump on Hillsdale when Gators’ senior Anthony Noto tipped Waugh’s third down pass into the hands of Jack Barton, who returned it midfield. Noto, who doubles as a linebacker and running back, capped off his 34-yard drive with a rushing touchdown to give Sacred Heart a 7-0 lead.
But on fourth down, the Hillsdale defense stifled Noto at the goal line to preserve their lead heading into the break. “We slowly adjusted, we hadn’t seen that variation on film,” Parodi said. “Making sure we were getting our eyes where they needed to be. They did a phenomenal job adjusting.”
