Miles has long hinted that the 29 schools that make up the inaugural cohort of his New Education System represented just the beginnings of his reforms, but Thursday's meeting offered the first insights into just how widely the changes can be expected to stretch. Staffing changes are just part of the transformation coming to NES schools. Curriculum will be standardized across campuses, and lesson plans will be prepared for teachers in advance. Classes will be recorded via webcam, and students who are pulled from class for disruptive behavior will be sent to another room to watch the livestreamed lesson.
