He will be sentenced today
A Nottinghamshire hitman took part in an attempted murder plot in broad daylight. The victim, in his 50s, was shot in the leg and then the arm, wrist and hand by a masked gunman who shouted "Oi geezer" before blasting him outside of his home.
Odley’s partner, Pamela O’Connor 38, of Glenwood Road, Derby, was also found guilty of committing an act/a series of acts with intent to pervert the course of justice, after providing Odley with a false alibi. The cause of the bad blood between the victim and Dimarco was not revealed by Warwickshire Police, which provided the details of the convictions.They said Dimarco had previously been convicted of assaulting the victim in June 2021 and handed a suspended sentence and restraining order.
Investigating officer, Det Insp Collette O’Keefe, from Warwickshire Police, said: “This was a pre-planned attack orchestrated by Dimarco due to an ongoing dispute with the victim. Dimarco recruited Hattersley who in turn recruited Odley. “Fortunately, the victim survived and was able to provide us with key information that allowed us to identify the getaway car and associated men. He has been extremely brave, and both the victim and his family have been patient and fully supportive during the police investigation. I hope this conviction now brings him and his family some peace.
