New York City has doled out more than $48 million in grants and loans to thousands of small businesses
Mayor Bill de Blasio’s administration set up two assistance programs for small businesses in March. The city was inundated with applications and within two weeks had exhausted the programs’ funding. Just over half of the businesses that applied received loans or grants.
