Holly Willoughby returned to This Morning on Monday alongside co-host Alison Hammond following her extended summer break.
Holly told viewers: "We are back from our summer break, but it's not just the start of a new season for our show. For many people out there, today is the first at school. Mine went back today." This Morning viewers were less than impressed with the musical opening to the show. As one viewer wrote: "They couldn't have possibly opened the show worse than this," and another added: "This is it, we’ve reached peak cringe."
This comes after it was reported that Holly was fully co-operating with the inquiry into Phillip Schofield's exit from This Morning and affair bombshell. The presenter has "fully complied and cooperated with everything that has been asked of her by the KC", sources told The Mirror.
