Gavin Plumb, 37, stands accused of devising a plan to kidnap and assault Holly Willoughby over a span of nearly two years until his arrest last October
A court has heard of a chilling plot to murder ITV's Holly Willoughby , with the accused security guard purchasing a "kidnap kit" of rope, metal cable ties, and handcuffs.
Plumb had detailed to Marc his strategy to monitor Holly to look for an easy opportunity to strike, suggesting that he wanted a "simple place to strike but a home invasion is a better idea". The prosecution alleges that Plumb was attempting to fulfill his ultimate fantasy, driven by an "obsession" with Holly.
Plumb had allegedly identified a deserted stud farm as a potential location to "keep" Holly, the court heard on Wednesday. In a further WhatsApp exchange, Plumb said: "I'm not sure if I'm booking an ITV studio tour or just to the area." Prosecutor Mr Belsham told the court that there was no evidence Plumb had actually booked such a tour.
