Former Hollyoaks star Jazmine Franks has opened up about the birth of her first child for the first time. with her long-term partner Danny Potter.

But in some ways, becoming a mum is a bit of a surprise to Jazmine as she used to be sure she didn’t want kids. “I used to be that person who was like, ‘I don’t want kids’ and then it just changes as you grow up. Probably all the way through my early twenties I was like, ‘No, it’s not for me. I don’t want children. I love my independence,’ but that just changed and I grew up.
“Don’t get me wrong, there were days when I couldn’t be bothered to go to the gym, the last thing I wanted to do… I had really swollen feet. That was the weirdest thing. None of my shoes fit me. It was a nightmare.” She also shed a stone after starting powerlifting, which consists of squats, bench presses and deadlifts, and competed in the All England Powerlifting Championships. Then, during the pandemic, Jazmine, from Bury, further embraced her love of fitness by qualifying as a personal trainer.
