Hollyoaks' Anna Passey has teased that the engagement between Sienna Blake and Ethan Williams may not lead to the fairytale ending fans are hoping for.
The Channel 4 soap provided glimpses into each character's life over the elapsed year, with Sienna flaunting an impressive engagement ring, later confirmed to be linked to her rekindled romance with Ethan, portrayed by Matthew James Bailey. Although viewers have been clamouring for their reunion, show runners have previously decided against it, sending both characters off on different courses until now, reports the Mirror.
Referring to the surprise time leap, she added: "When we heard the news there was going to be the year time jump everyone thought for their characters 'what is going to look like?' and for me I thought 'I'm either going to be in a pit of misery or she might just be happy'."
