A home owner in Merseyside has put a lot of work into creating an unusual garden structure in his backyard
An "underground cavern" has been in the works for a number of years, despite the home owner not having permission to build it in thier back garden.
As part of the planning application, a number of documents have been submitted to Sefton Council for work on the unusual development. This started in 2018 and refers to works to the rear of the house on Pershore Grove in Ainsdale, Merseyside, the ECHO reports.Photographs submitted in the application shows a garden pond with a model bird leading to an ornate stone-built wall, described as a "ruin" with no roof.
Another photograph shows work in progress on the design, with a large open hole sitting to the left of the bridge. A walkway across the hole in the ground is shown with construction materials next to the patio area.
