Honda is recalling nearly 500,000 vehicles because of a safety issue with seat belt buckles that could prevent seat occupants from being properly restrained during a crash.

"The seat belt buckle channel for the driver and front passenger seat belts were manufactured out of specification, causing interference between the buckle channel and the release button," Honda explained in a report filed with the NHTSA. 2018 Honda Accord is on display at the 110th Annual Chicago Auto Show at McCormick Place in Chicago, Feb. 8, 2018. Honda is recalling nearly 500,000 vehicles, including the 2018 Accord, over a safety issue with faulty seat belts.
