Hong Kong stocks fall further, while Australia, Japan and South Korea gain ground
Hong Kong shares dropped further Monday, building on the previous session’s steep selloff, while optimism on economic reopening boosted other regional markets.
The city’s Hang Seng Index fell around 1% in morning trading. Banking heavyweight HSBC Holdings dropped 1.5%, putting it on course for its lowest close since the depths of the global financial crisis in March 2009.
