Saaya has rentable karaoke “pods” on the patio.
Saaya was created to transport diners to the Mediterranean, its founders say, and the tall walls around the entrance make it feel insulated. The “pods” outside, which look like glassed-in spheres, are saved for karaoke parties. Inside, the bar is often crowded on weekends with partygoers.
Some of the food at Saaya includes the Dip Trio, Saaya Ultimate Feast, chicken kabob and Greek salad. The menu is made up of shareable shacks like baba ghanouj, za’atar popcorn chicken, sumac fries, Lebanese pizzas called manakish, and beef, chicken and halloumi shawarma. The idea at Saaya is to draw weekenders to Good Latimer for a night of party hopping. Milkshake Concepts co-founding partner Asim Sheikh calls it a “playful refuge from the ordinary.”Saaya is at 2511 Swiss Ave., Dallas. It opened June 2, 2023. Hours are Tuesday through Friday, evenings only, and Saturday and Sunday, from 2 p.m. until late. Closed Monday.
