Danny's influence was felt everywhere from Dubai to Barbados but admitted Liverpool just can't be beaten
On the horizon of Liverpool's hospitality industry is a brand new tiki bar and speakeasy crossover called Danny C's.
Branded as a "classier tiki bar with a relaxed island-like atmosphere" the venue is the result of more than a decade in the industry and a specialised course that put customer satisfaction to the forefront.Danny, 36, came to Liverpool as a student in 2009 studying interior architecture, specialising in bar design. The Derry native picked up a part-time job at Alma de Cuba as a bar back to coincide with his studies but soon made his way up the ranks to become a manager within 14 months.
After hopping to Salt Dog Slims and entering a handful of cocktail competitions, Danny eventually won the notice of an influence responsible for opening five-star hotels around the world. Danny said: "I was doing a lot of these competitions and one day there was a man in the audience who ended up speaking to me.
The chance encounter saw Danny fly off to the Maldives in 2014 as an independent beverage consultant before visiting Barbados, Venezuela, Oslo, Dubai and other stunning locations in the following years. After his whirlwind adventures, Danny eventually set up his own business in Singapore along with a handful in the UK.
