House lawmakers threaten to subpoena ex-NY Gov. Cuomo for COVID nursing home documents
Former New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo is once again facing scrutiny for his nursing home policies early in the coronavirus pandemic, including histhis week requesting that he produce documents related to his administration’s COVID policies by Tuesday, Oct. 17 – and threatening to subpoena the former governor if he doesn’t comply. “The goal of the Select Subcommittee is to perform an after action report and postmortem of the response to the COVID-19 pandemic,” the October letter said. “By investigating the events that took place during the pandemic, we seek to learn what worked and what did not in an effort to better protect the nation in the future. Accordingly, the Select Subcommittee will not tolerate any further delay to its investigation.
