Eric Gordon keeps a 'winning' mindset toward trade rumors

Gordon has been traded once in his career, 11 years ago this month when he went to New Orleans in the deal that sent Chris Paul to the Clippers two weeks before the lockout-delayed 2011-12 season. But he has been around long enough to feel the trade winds. Gordon on Monday returned to the Rockets lineup against the Chicago Bulls after missing Friday’s loss to the Dallas Mavericks with a bruised thumb. He said it will be sore “for a while” but the days off were enough for him to play.
The 9.4 shots per game Gordon had attempted prior to Monday’s game and the 11.4 points he had averaged this season are the fewest of his career. Gordon, however, displayed no quarrel with his numbers in general or more specifically, with his fit within the Rockets’ offense or in the rotation, feeling more frustrated to not have a larger role in the quest to turn things around for a team struggling to string together wins.
