How Belgian fashion changed the world:
The Antwerp Six —Ann Demeulemeester, Marina Yee, Dries Van Noten, Dirk Van Saene, Dirk Bikkembergs and Walter Van Beirendonck, and of course Martin Margiela who joined his fellows from time to time—all emerged from the fashion department of the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in the 80s and went on to create the best of contemporary Belgian fashion.
But it didn't stop there: Raf Simons, Kris Van Assche, Anthony Vaccarello, Olivier Theyskens, Véronique Branquinho and more all went on to make individual impressions on the fashion world. The exhibitionwhich opens today at Bozar in Brussels, looks at all of the broad and brilliant talents that call Belgium home.
