9 The Incredible Hulk Robert Downey Jr. only made a very brief appearance in 2008's The Incredible Hulk, showing up during the film's post-credits scene to talk about the Avengers and the Abomination with William Hurt's General Thaddeus "Thunderbolt" Ross. 3 Spider-Man: Homecoming After the events of Captain America: Civil War, which introduced Tom Holland as the MCU's Peter Parker, a.k.a. Spider-Man, Robert Downey Jr. made an appearance in 2017's Spider-Man: Homecoming as the young web-slinger's mentor. Since Homecoming dealt with a young hero entering the MCU proper, only one person was seen to be killed on-screen, and the person responsible was the film's villain, Michael Keaton's Adrian Toomes, a.k.a. the Vulture.
