Apple salaries revealed: See how much engineers, software developers, and hundreds of other employees at the tech giant make
All American companies must disclose how much they intend to pay foreign workers when applying for visas. That shows up in data released by the US's Office of Foreign Labor Certification. It recently disclosed a new batch from the third quarter, revealing information on nearly 1,000 Apple work visas and shedding light on what the company pays for certain roles.
The data has limitations, such as lacking stock grants that can significantly increase total compensation. However, it provides a valuable guide to salaries at Apple for positions such as software developers, electrical engineers, computer and information systems managers, and statisticians. The disclosed salaries were mainly of workers in California, Texas, and Washington, but they also included workers in New York, Colorado, Massachusetts, Oregon, Florida, New Jersey, South Carolina, North Carolina, and Illinois. The highest-paid person in the latest data set was a distinguished engineer in California who was offered $350,000, while the lowest-paid of the visa applicants were two accountants in Texas, each making $106,500.
Here's a breakdown of what Apple pays many other employees. The broad categories are taken from filings by the Office of Foreign Labor Certification. Roles are only listed below if there are at least 4 candidates. to find out how much Google, Facebook, Tesla, Amazon, and other companies pay their workers.Craig Federighi, Apple's head of software engineering, on stage in 2019.
