As a mother of three Humble ISD students, Natalie Carter has served in multiple capacities, from room parent to PTO president. His wife teaches at Bear Branch Elementary in Humble ISD and was recently recognized as Teacher of the Year. His daughter is a middle school student in the district. “I know what it's like inside that building, and I know now what it's like outside,” she said, having already served eight years on the board. “I have a lot to offer because I understand when decisions are made, how it affects those teachers.”“I want to work very strongly on the wellness school. We must get it approved by the state and there's a House Bill 1066 that is being discussed in Austin. We need to be able to get parents help with their children,” she said.
“The first thing that families ask me when they move to Kingwood and the surrounding area, is about the schools. That's why I'm running: because I want to continue to support the community that I love – the kids, the parents and the teachers,” Marcus said.
