Hundreds join Bristol's NHS pay demonstration including junior doctors NHSCrisis NHSStrike
workers and supporters marched through the centre of Bristol on Saturday . The protest organised by NHS staff and the organisation Protect the NHS took place between 2 pm and 3 pm.
The large gathering started at the Bristol Royal Hospital for Children, along Park Row, down Park Street and ended with a rally on College Green, which saw NHS workers express their concerns over unfair pay.with the Government said to be no closer to reaching a settlement with NHS staff on pay and conditions.https://www.bristolpost.co.uk/news/bristol-news/nhs-protest-bristol-sees-hundreds-8059065
Speaking to crowds of people on College Green, the deputy chair of the BMA doctors union said not all doctors are paid the same, adding"some of us are in real poverty circumstances" with £100,000 depts and"needing payday loans to survive". A spokesperson for Protect The NHS said:“The NHS has seen an exodus of staff. Real-terms pay has been steadily eroded. Trained professionals are forced to leave the profession that they love.
