The company behind the popular Solo Stove fire pits is back with torches
I’ve never harbored a desire to line my backyard with tiki torches. There’s nothing wrong with tiki torches—they spark fond memories of TV’s “Gilligan’s Island” and, a relatively new offering from the people who brought you the massively popular Solo Stove and the Solo Pi pizza oven.I own both those products, charmed by their chic design and quality function.
When the three torches arrived packed neatly in a surprisingly compact box, it only took about 10 minutes to screw the rods together and assemble the canisters on top. You can use any torch fuel, and some promise to keep away bugs with citronella or other formulas. I bought mine at my local grocery store, though you can also order fuel from Solo. There’s a reason the brand includes a small funnel, which I discovered after sloshing a little fuel on my feet and patio.
