“It’s looking like a grey Christmas rather than a white Christmas. I don’t think at this moment in time, anywhere across the UK is likely to see a flake ofEast and northeast Scotland could see overnight temperatures that are 10C above average on Christmas morning, the Met Office said. In many other places, nighttime temperatures are forecast to hover in the high single figures.
Technically, the last white Christmas in the UK was 2023, when 11 per cent of stations recorded snow falling, but none reported it settling on the ground.
