We made up and he cuddled me as we talked it through, all of which helped me to make sense of my emotions. He even helped me write my first message to her. ‘Hello, it is me, Callum, your son.’ I typed. ‘I have wanted to say hello for so long, so, here I am!’ She responded immediately and I was so excited. She said she had longed to be in touch and was so pleased to hear from me. Her response made me feel at ease. I felt wanted. I felt loved.
