He initially moved to Georgia on the country’s “Remotely from Georgia”, programme, opened in the wake of the Covid pandemic to allow foreign citizens to live and work in the country. He has since moved to a temporary residence permit. He has lived in various bits of England throughout the past decade, including Sheffield, Essex, and most recently, his mother’s home in Sussex during the Covid lockdowns, but a lifetime traveler, he enjoys the lifestyle in the Caucasus region.“I like the climate here, it’s nice in summer, and you can ski in winter”, he says of Georgia. “Tbilisi is in like a valley by hills and I’m part of a very active running club”.
“In terms of timezones, that’s important to me too – if you get too far from the UK then logistically it can be difficult – but here it’s three hours difference which isn’t too bad”, he added.
