Father-of-three Jonnie Irwin says he now wants to make as many memories as possible with his family after receiving terminal cancer diagnosis.
Popular television star Jonnie Irwin has revealed he has been given just ‘months to live’ after being diagnosed with terminal cancer. Speaking for the first time, the BBC’s Escape to the Country host said he has been diagnosed with lung cancer, which has spread to his brain.
“I got into the habit of saying: ‘Don’t plan ahead because I might not be well enough.’ But now I want to make plans. I want to make memories and capture these moments with my family because the reality is, my boys are going to grow up not knowing their dad and that breaks my heart."Jonnie revealed that he first got the first warning sign when he was filming for A Place in the Sun for Channel 4 in Italy in August 2020, as his vision went blurry while driving.
