David Fenton tipped the scales at nearly 30 stone
A year ago, David Fenton was lying in a hospital bed after his blood pressure reached dangerous levelsBut just 12 months on, David is now nearly unrecognisable after shedding an incredible ten-and-a-half stone.“Being hospitalised was a wake up call for me,” the 38-year-old, who lives in Chorlton, said. “I thought, ‘If things don’t change, I might not have long left.’”
“I didn’t know what to expect,” David continued. “I was dreading talking about my weight. I thought I’d have to get on the scales in front of everyone and they would all know how much I weighed. Obviously, it wasn’t like that at all.” “I was amazed at how much you could eat and still lose weight. I still eat the same food as I used to - curries, spaghetti bolognese, chicken kebabs, steak and chips - but I’ve learnt to cook them in a different way and they’re just as good. It’s so much easier than I thought it would be, it’s become a way of life now.”
He is also off anti-depressants and his sleep has drastically improved from the three hours of sleep he was previously getting due to his size.
