In 1987 the Nigerian government unjustly stripped my dad of the property and all of his assets. Being the fighter that he was, Chief immediately took the government to court, but mysteriously died weeks later, which subsequently transposed my mother, brother and me from riches to rags. But to make a long story short, I was given an opportunity to climb from my dark void and into the light of the United States Navy. I took hold of that opportunity and would end up spending 13 and a half years in uniform with the majority of that time spent in special operations as a Navy SEAL.
