A Solon woman reported that a check was fraudulently cashed on her account. A technician who had worked at the woman's house is believed to be the culprit.
Solon police arrested for a felony offense a Cleveland Heights man. The man was arrested at his Solon workplace after it was found that his car was bearing a stolen license plate.At 1:40 a.m. Oct. 1, police were called to a home in the 6900 block of S.O.M. Center Road where it was reported that, during an argument, a woman bit her mother.
The mother called police, but left before officers arrived. Police learned that, the day before, the mother had reportedly struck her daughter in the face. A passenger in the backseat told the officer that he was in possession of a gun. It was found that this passenger was was wanted on a warrant. Police did not charge the driver, a Bedford man, 21, although he was issued a warning for the illegal window tint. A female passenger was also not charged.At 4:45 p.m. Sept. 28, a Solon woman, 77, reported that an unauthorized check had been written on her account for $100. Police investigated and learned that a Direct TV technician had been at her house and took the check.
