Rep. Nathaniel Ledbetter, R-Rainsville, who is in line to become the next Alabama speaker of the House in January, has named chairs of five more House committees for the next legislative term.
– Rep. Joe Lovvorn, R-Auburn, Rules Committee; Rep. Danny Garrett, R-Trussville, Ways and Means Education Committee; Rep. Rex Reynolds, R-Huntsville, Ways and Means General Fund Committee; and Rep. Jim Hill, R-Moody, Judiciary Committee.Rep. Randall Shedd, R-Fairview, chair of the Transportation, Utilities, and Infrastructure Committee.Rep. Margie Wilcox, R-Mobile, chair of the Boards, Agencies, and Commissions Committee.Rep.
“From rural to urban areas, from employers to employees, and from tradesmen to consumers, the collective decisions made by these committees affect every Alabamian in some manner,” Ledbetter said in a news release. “All of these individuals have my full faith and confidence, and I am certain they will always work on behalf of the citizens each of us seek to serve.”by the House Republican caucus on Nov. 10, two days after the general election.
