“Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny” got a hero’s welcome on its hunt for the No. 1 box office spot and raked in $24 million on its opening night.
“Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse” remained in second place this week, taking home $3.435 million..
In third was “Elemental” with a $3.4 million take. The animated comedy, which was released on June 16, had the worst opening-weekend box office numbers in Pixar’s history,“Ruby Gillman, Teenage Kraken” took home the fourth place prize, with $2.34 million in sales on its opening night.
