Ke Huy Quan thanked director Steven Spielberg for giving him his start as Short Round in Indiana Jones And The Temple Of Doom during his Golden Globes acceptance speech. Quan burst onto the scene as a child actor in Spielberg's 1984 Indiana Jones sequel and the cult classic The Goonies a year later.
