'We’ll be watching from the sidelines, waiting for our time to rise once again.'
Foodstuff, the ethical food delivery service which took on the likes of Uber Eats and Deliveroo, will close its Manchester business. The company revealed the plan in a post to Instagram captioned ‘It’s goodbye for now, Manchester’.
“As you all know, it’s been an extremely tough few years on the hospitality industry, the knock-on effects of restrictions and lockdowns in 2020 & 21 tangled with the recent strife of cost of living and energy prices [soaring] has deeply impacted both business owners and customers.“This has not been an easy decision, nor one we take lightly. We’ll be watching from the sidelines, waiting for our time to rise once again.
“We will continue to support our indies in Bristol and Cambridge, and will ride through this weekend in Manchester. Foodstuff will be closed from 9pm on Sunday 25th June, so you’ve got a few more days to get your last goodies in.”
