Flatlip unofficially started an indigenous running group to showcase native runners and to create a space for his son, Hudson. Thereported that the club started building momentum when Flatlip’s son ran a USATF race in Bozeman, Montana, under the group’s banner.From there, Flatlip went through the process of officially sanctioning the club, which is comprised of middle-school runners who live on Crow Reservation in Montana.
The runners—Robert Half, Hudson Flatlip, Braxton Real Bird, Aundreya Bends, Madisyn Flatlip, and LeiLani Old Crow—will participate in a variety of events, including the 800 meters, 1500 meters, 3,000 meters, 100-meter hurdles, and the long jump.
