Strictly Come Dancing professional Graziano Di Prima has been hiding out on his family farm in Sicily after being sacked from the BBC show - but has since left
The small provincial town in Sicily, Riesi, roughly two and a half hours from the capital Palermo, is known for its strong Mafia presence and high poverty levels. With temperatures soaring over 40 degrees and located away from the ocean, it remains largely untouched by tourists.
"Growing up wasn't easy because boys would start dancing because their mum told them to, and then after one lesson they would regret it and I was always the only one left," he shared with OX magazine. "There is never a time when kicking, or any sense of that is right," Mark Borkowski, Graziano's representative, told the BBC. "And he knows that."
The Mirror exclusively revealed that the young dancer has now left, both worried and paranoid about his future.
