Israeli tanks surrounded several hospitals in northern Gaza Friday, forcing evacuations. Some people in critical condition had to be left behind, doctors said.
Bombing continued near al-Shifa hospital on Friday night, according to video published to social media just after 9 p.m. local time and geolocated by The Washington Post. Smoke is visible across the night sky, with the clouds turning orange in tandem with the continual booms. Multiple explosions are visible in the background, as the man filming says the sounds of pounding had been going on for two hours without stop.
In another video, from northern Gaza, journalist Abdullah Ebead stands outside the Indonesian Hospital filming a television report when a loud boom followed by a flash of orange light is visible in the frame, suggesting a bombing nearby. In the video, posted to Instagram just before midnight and geolocated by The Post, people and animals outside the hospital scatter. Ebead ducks, pauses and then continues his report. Then a second boom fills the frame.
