A coalition of 31 student groups at Harvard University that released a statement blaming Israel for terrorist attacks against the country by Hamas doubled down on the statement within hours of issuing it.
The group also said that Israel's vow to retaliate against the attacks and"open the gates of hell" by attacking Hamas strongholds in Gaza would force Palestinians to"bear the full brunt of Israel's violence." "As always, we reaffirm our demands for the university to disclose the full extent of its investments, divest, and reinvest in Palestinian communities," the coalition posted while urging other student groups to sign the statement.
"It is abhorrent and heinous that Harvard student groups are blaming Israel for Hamas’ barbaric terrorist attacks that have killed over 700 Israelis," Rep. Elise Stefanik , a Harvard alumna, posted on X ."Any voice that excuses the slaughter of innocent women and children has chosen the side of evil and terrorism. I am calling on the leadership of Harvard to immediately publicly condemn these vile anti-Semitic statements.
