Israeli troops kill three Palestinians in the occupied West Bank, a day after the UN urged a 'meaningful political process' to stem renewed violence
Later on Friday a third Palestinian, 24-year-old Abdel Jawad Hamdan Saleh, was killed by Israeli troops during a demonstration against illegal Israeli settlements in the village of Umm Safa north of Ramallah, the Palestinian health ministry said.Tensions have been running high across the occupied West Bank in recent months amid repeated Israeli raids into Palestinian towns.
Since the raid, Israeli settlers carried out a series of assaults against Palestinians and their properties across the occupied West Bank. A similar incident was also reported in western Tulkarem city, north of the West Bank, causing damage to many Palestinian cars.
