Let’s talk about Syria. In a statement with Senator Mitt Romney, you slammed the president’s decision to withdraw U.S. troops and called on Trump officials to appear before the Senate Foreign Relations Committee. What has your dominant reaction been to the news, and what would you hope to achieve in a congressional appearance?
You know, there are very few administration officials who come before the committee. So it is very rare that we actually have an opportunity to question an administration witness on any of the foreign policy initiatives of this administration. I have a million outstanding questions on what our Syria policy is, if we even have one. I wouldn’t even know where to start if we were able to get the administration before the committee.
