Cordero died after spending 13 weeks in the hospital battling COVID-19 complications.

"Heading back to Los Angeles today with a brave face. These next couple weeks I will start the transition of moving into the home Nick and I bought together," the fitness instructor wrote."I’m not expecting this to be easy, in fact I think it will be very hard, but I’m going into it knowing I need to be strong. I have to find my new normal, at least whatever that is for Elvis and I right now.

"I know Nick will be with us. He wanted to live in this house more than anything so I’ll put lots of family photos up and make sure his presence is with us," Kloots ended the post.of his work released later this year. According to Kloots, the album will include songs from Cordero's one-man show, which he performed in April 2019 at Feinstein's/54 Below, a well-known restaurant and cabaret in New York City.

During Cordero's 95-day hospital stay, he faced a series of complications from the coronavirus, including a leg amputation, infections in his lungs and the insertion of a temporary pacemaker. Kloots kept her Instagram followers updated at every turn. Since Cordero's death, Kloots has posted on Instagram that she's doing a"#ak10daysofhappy" challenge, with the goal of doing one thing a day that makes her happy.
