Coronation Street fans have been left convinced they have 'worked out' who the father of Lauren Bolton's baby really is
Earlier this year, Coronation Street enthusiasts were left aghast when young Lauren Bolton disappeared without a trace from the street. Speculation was rife that she had met a grim fate after police discovered blood and signs of an altercation in her apartment, not knowing Joel Deering had subjected her to a vicious assault. Yet, in a recent twist, Dee-Dee Bailey and Bethany Platt managed to locate her, only to be stunned to learn she was expecting.
Nonetheless, there's a camp of fans who reckon Max will rise to the occasion and embrace the child as his own. A fan predicted: 'I can see a similar David/Kylie situation developing with Max taking on Lauren and being a stepdad to the baby in the future.' Recent episodes have shown Lauren spending time with her former boyfriend Max Turner , but she remains tight-lipped about the assault, wrongly accusing Nathan Curtis .
