Long-standing Coronation Street actor Jack P Shepherd, beloved for his role as David Platt since 2000, recently set off alarm bells among fans who feared he might be leaving, after a misleading post sparked "panic".
The explosive drama reached its climax during Max's 18th birthday party when Leanne burst into the bistro to out her cheating partner. Away from the tension of Weatherfield, Jack leads a more relaxed life and is quite the Instagram enthusiast, commanding a following of almost 400,000.
