ITV 'deeply disappointed in Phillip Schofield' after affair with This Morning colleague
ITV have released a statement saying they're "deeply disappointed" by Phillip Schofield after he admitted to having an affair with a younger This Morning colleague.
The broadcaster said: "We are deeply disappointed by the admissions of deceit made tonight by Phillip Schofield. In a statement made to MailOnline, Phillip said that he met the man in question "when he was a teenager", and wanted help to get onto television. "But my recent, unrelated, departure from This Morning fuelled speculation and raised questions which have been impacting him, so for his sake it is important for me to be honest now."
