Emmerdale stalwart James Hooton, who plays the beloved Sam Dingle, has shared insights into his tenure on the popular ITV soap during an appearance on Loose Women.
When host Christine Lampard questioned him about his future on Emmerdale, James, who first graced our screens as Sam in 1995, responded with a straightforward: "As long as they'll have me I'll stay there." Regular viewers are accustomed to seeing Sam get bossed around by his domineering brother Cain Dingle, portrayed by Jeff Hordley, but it seems the tables are about to turn, reports the Express.The conflict arises as Matty Barton, played by Ash Palmisciano, finds himself wrongfully imprisoned for stabbing Samson Dingle, while the real truth remains concealed.
Discussing the impending Dingle family clash, James revealed: "Cain always seems to have his own best interest at heart and I think Sam realises that and he actually ends up standing up to Cain, which is a bit of a first."
