Jack Butland is set to make his highly anticipated return to the Rangers goal after a devastating injury layoff. The 31-year-old goalkeeper, sidelined since December due to internal bleeding in his leg, has been diligently working his way back to full fitness and is targeting a comeback in either Sunday's Scottish Cup tie against Fraserburgh or the high-profile Europa League clash at Manchester United on January 23rd.
Butland's return will be a major boost for Rangers, who have struggled defensively in his absence, conceding five goals and picking up eight points from a possible 12 in their last four Scottish Premiership matches. Liam Kelly has capably deputized for Butland, but the manager and team will be eager to have their first-choice goalkeeper back between the posts.
