Gordon Ramsay said: 'The potential of this lady is off the charts and I cannot wait to mentor her.'
Jade Greenhalgh, from Burscough, who runs her own food blog, impressed chef judges Paul Ainsworth and Nyesha Arrington in the Gordon Ramsay-fronted cooking show.
The West Lancashire-based chef cooked a chocolate fondant for her dessert and final dish of the high-pressure competition. "I'm just a social media chef from Lancashire and Gordon is putting me on the level [of the chefs in his kitchens]." Paul said it was "wow" while American chef Nyesha said it was "better than it looked" and Gordon added that Jade's rick "paid off."
Jade had to fight her way to the final as a rival chef was eliminated each week, with the 'losing' team relegated to the basement kitchen for the round. She had performed consistently throughout the contest, with her ambitious salmon burger declared the 'top dish' by mentor Gordon and the other two judges in one of the rounds.
